Black Diamond Cutters raise over $96,000 for Alzheimer’s!
On the weekend of May 27, the Black Diamond Cutters hit the ice for the Gordie Howe C.A.R.E.S Pro Am hockey tournament in Calgary. The annual event raises funds to support lifesaving research and education initiatives for individuals and families caring for loved ones living with Alzheimer’s and other related dementias. The tournament also provides companies with the opportunity to play hockey with NHL alumni stars.
The team included our Chairman & CEO Trevor Haynes, Yvan Moquin (GM Legal), Mark Armstrong (Senior Sales Representative, WFS), Rob Eisbrenner (GM Project Development & Real Estate), Chuck Chow (Sales Representative, BOXX North America – Canada Pacific) and Doug Irving (GM, Workforce Canada), along with other business associates and colleagues. The team was joined on the ice by NHL alum, Robin Regehr!
The Black Diamond Cutters raised an impressive $96,012 making them the third-highest fundraising team! Overall, the tournament raised more than $1,000,000, which will greatly benefit those supporting loved ones living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
Funds were raised through donations and other initiatives.
Congratulations to the Black Diamond Cutters on their phenomenal efforts in raising money for the Gordie Howe C.A.R.E.S Foundation, and for doing us proud on the ice!
