From August 14-18, thousands of golf fans descended on the Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club to attend the 12th annual Rogers Charity Classic, one of the premier summer events in Calgary, an exciting stop on the PGA Tour of Champions – and a tournament deeply rooted in community building and charitable giving.
As a proud sponsor and supplier of modular space over the last 12 years, Black Diamond Group once again supported the event, providing several BOXX Modular offices and units for tournament administration, operations, security and added storage capacity.
“At Black Diamond, we have long believed that sport is a force for good, and our commitments to community building are often rooted in youth, family and sport,” says Trevor Haynes, Chairman & CEO, Black Diamond Group.
Partnerships such as this long-standing one with the Rogers Charity Classic (formerly Shaw Charity Classic) enable us to make a positive impact to our communities. Since its inception, the tournament, along with the unwavering commitment of Albertans, has helped more than 270 charitable groups and raised more than $112 million for children in need.
This year, our team members were pleased to show our support golfing in the RBC Championship Pro AM, hosting clients, customers, and stakeholders during the tournament and cheering on the athletes golfing – all for a good cause!
Black Diamond Group’s the RBC Championship Pro-Am team – Mark Armstrong, Senior Sales Representative – WFS, Chris Copeland, Sr Business Development Manager – LodgeLink, and guests – golfed alongside golf pro Jason Caron for an exciting match-up, shooting -29 for the lowest score of the day!
