Quick Facts
Client: Huston Tillotson University Industry: Healthcare Location: Austin, Texas Building Use: Health and Wellness Center Size of Project: 14,704 sq. ft. Completion time: 218 days
A new health and wellness center was required for the Huston Tillotson in partnership with CommUnityCare (CUC), Austin Travls County Integral Care (ATCIC) and the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas in Austin. The onsite campus location came with many challenges - preservation of aesthetics with an adjacent historic dormitory building, demolition of two existing structures, protection of large trees, major utility relocations and an eight foot variance in topography. BOXX Modular designed an L-shaped building solution that met the square footage requirements and complied with strict regulatory mandates while ensuring a successful integration of the buildings with its historic and storied neighbors.
