Chipping in fore youth charities

The Shaw Charity Classic opened its doors to golf pros, fans, and spectators alike from Aug. 3-7 for one of the premier events of the summer in Calgary, and an exciting stop on the PGA Tour of Champions. We were proud to partner with the Foundation once again this year, providing several BOXX Modular units for storage and administrative use, as well as donating to help support children’s charities. Over the last 10 years, the Shaw Charity Classic has raised more than $76 million for over 230 charitable groups in the province; we’ve been honoured to sponsor the tournament for all 10 years!
As part of our sponsorship of the event, we were gifted several any day passes to the tournament from Friday through Sunday! On Friday, Aug. 5, our sales teams treated clients and guests to a day of free golf, food, drink and beautiful weather, and to watch our Pro-Am team participate in the tournament.
Our Pro-Am team – Mark Armstrong, Senior Sales Representative – WFS, Doug Irving, GM – Workforce Canada, Shawn Bertrand, General Manager – Modular at FNIS and Andrew Geden, Vice President & General Manager, Operations, Industrial West at Aecon Group Inc. – partnered with golf pro Mike Goodes for an exciting match-up on August 4, 2022!
Jerry Kelly clinched the title after a tight one-hole playoff with contender John Huston, after the pair tied for the lead with a three-round total of 9-under 201.
Those who walked the course or ventured toward the clubhouse or merchandise tent likely spotted a few BOXX Modular units as well. Our units were used on site for storage, tournament operations, security offices, broadcasting and more.
