On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, our Chairman and CEO Trevor Haynes will participate in a panel discussion about the Canadian energy industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an event you do not want to miss out on!
Who is on the panel?
Trevor Haynes, the Chairman and CEO of the Black Diamond Group, a leading provider of modular space and workforce accommodation solutions in Canada, the United States and Australia;
Tim McMillan, the President and CEO of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, an organization that creates and fosters a strong and unified voice for Canada’s upstream oil and natural gas industry; and,
Sean Surerus, President of Surerus Pipeline Inc., one of Canada’s largest independent pipeline contractors that is involved in building the Trans Mountain Expansion Project and the Coastal GasLink Pipeline.
What will the panel discuss?
The discussion will revolve around four general themes:
Canada’s COVID-19 response, both the Government and the energy sector;
The challenges facing Canada’s energy sector pre-COVID-19;
The opportunities for the energy sector to play a key role in rebuilding and renewing our economy; and,
What it will take to restore investor confidence and employment strength in Canada’s energy sector.
The way forward
Premier Jason Kenney will lead the discussion with an overview of his government’s plans to renew Alberta’s economy following the COVID-19 pandemic, and share his thoughts on the role the sector can play in Canada’s economic recovery.
