On September 30th, Black Diamond employees participated in Orange Shirt Day. The initiative began in 2013 in Williams Lake, BC, by an Indigenous woman named Phyllis Webstad as a result of her experience attending a residential school.
Orange Shirt Day aims to raise awareness about the legacy of residential schools in Canada, promote advancing reconciliation in Canada, and encourages people to take a stand against racism and bullying.
