Black Diamond Cutters Raise $44,735 for Alzheimers
June 10, 2019
Early last month, several Black Diamond employees hit the ice for the Gordie Howe Pro Am C.A.R.E.S hockey tournament in Calgary. The annual event raises funds for Alzheimers and other related dementias, while also providing companies with the opportunity to play hockey with NHL alumni stars.
The 15 players on the Black Diamond Cutters team included CEO Trevor Haynes, Yvan Moquin (GM Legal), Mark Armstrong (Sales Rep), Rob Eisbrenner (GM Project Development & Real Estate) and Steve Langmaid (Corporate Controller), along with other business associates and colleagues.
The Black Diamond Cutters surpassed its $25,000 fundraising goal and raised a total of $44,735 – the 7th-highest fundraising amount out of 20 participating teams!
Funds were raised through donations and other initiatives. In April, Black Diamond and Nomodic also hosted a Bowling Tournament in Calgary to support Gordie Howe C.A.R.E.S and the Alzheimer Society of Calgary.
