In September 2025, Black Diamond Group locations in Canada and Australia achieved renewed workplace safety certifications, meeting regional health and safety standards.
Our Alberta and B.C. locations achieved ACSA and BCCSA Certificate of Recognition (COR) re-accreditation. Meanwhile, our Australia branches also solidified their presence as workplace safety champions, achieving ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 re-qualifications.
At Black Diamond Group, safety is at the core of everything we do, and our values-based culture embraces this commitment as a top priority. Since our inception, we have prioritized the safety and well-being of all those in our network, including employees, contractors, and stakeholders alike. As such, we operate under the fundamental principle that we must keep ourselves and one another safe and have put in place robust safety programming to ensure this is put into action and achieved.
“I want to recognize our B.C., Alberta and Australia locations for their successful safety audits, which reflect our safety-first culture here at Black Diamond Group,” says Trevor Haynes, Chairman & CEO of Black Diamond Group. “Safety is not just a priority – it’s a core value we all share, and these achievements highlight the dedication of our teams to living that value every day.”
COR Certification: Setting the Standard in Alberta and B.C.
COR Certification is often a prerequisite for bidding on contracts and earning future opportunities, while also giving clients confidence that they’re working with a trusted partner. Provincial construction safety associations perform the sought-after COR audits every three years to re-certify organizations; annual internal audits, verified by our certifying partner, ensure ongoing compliance with HSE standards and readiness for renewal.
When “COR Certified” appears alongside the Black Diamond Group name, it signals our commitment to the highest safety standards and the processes that keep our people and partners safe.
ISO Certification: Upholding Global Best Practices in Australia
In Australia, safety excellence is demonstrated through ISO certification – the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems. While ISO certification is voluntary, it reflects a proactive commitment to protecting our people and partners, exceeding regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of care across every site. The rigorous certification process, conducted by accredited bodies under JAS-ANZ, verifies that our systems meet globally recognized benchmarks for risk management, worker participation, and continual improvement. Re-certification audits are completed over a three-year cycle, with internal reviews conducted regularly to maintain compliance and drive improvement.
High Standards across our U.S. Operations
Our U.S. operations continue to uphold the same high standards, demonstrating strong performance through internal reviews and compliance with OSHA and client-specific requirements. This commitment reinforces our shared company-wide commitment to safety leadership across every region we serve.
Thank you to every team member who contributed to this achievement and to those who keep our workplaces safe every day.
