For the seventh year, Black Diamond was excited to support the annual West Moberly Days, which takes place in the local First Nations community north of Chetwynd, B.C. The mid-summer celebration officially kicked-off with a “Friendship Fest” on Friday, July 26th.

Black Diamond sponsored the annual steak BBQ while the community brought an abundance of sides and desserts.

More than 300 people attended the feast, and servers included the West Moberly First Nations’ Chief Roland Wilson, Black Diamond Executive VP & COO of Workforce Solutions Mike Ridley, and Black Diamond General Manager of Indigenous Relations Jonathan Stringer.

The evening continued with live music, leading into a full weekend of games and entertainment.

Several Black Diamond employees also hosted a full-day Golf Clinic for the youth of West Moberly at the First Nations' golf course on July 25th. Kim Halliday, Scott McLeod, Shona Cumbers and Jonathan Stringer led two sessions to different age groups, and taught skills such as driving, chipping and putting.

Participants received a variety of toys and prizes, including a grand prize draw for a new set of golf clubs.
